Dayne DuVall Collections
Re-Launch
Dayne DuVall and William Peacock team up again for new jewelry collections
As a fashion-editor-turned-accessories-designer, Dayne DuVall was approached by Donna Karan in 1990 to become Design Director of Accessories for her newly launched DKNY Collection. At the same time his jewelry had been published in Elle Magazine, which named Dayne as Best New Jewelry Designer of 1990. Women’s Wear Daily featured him as a Designer to Watch. Additionally, the collection was discovered by Bergdorf Goodman and featured in the Fifth Avenue windows for F/W 1990. It was hard to turn down Donna, but the fledgling business had been launched.
In 1991, Dayne’s long-time friend William Peacock joined the company from Polo Ralph Lauren as Vice President and Design Director. This fledgling business began to grow in a short 3 years with the addition of over 400 stores world-wide including Saks Fifth Avenue, I. Magnin, Macy's, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Harrod’s, Browns, and Giorgio Beverly Hills. An exclusive Designer Bridge Collection for Neiman Marcus was launched in all its stores in 1992. The duo designed collections for Cynthia Rowley, the late Carmelo Pomodoro, Randolph Duke and other young designers. As fate would have it, in 1996 the company landed a licensing deal with Donna Karan Collection.
Dayne DuVall Accessories produced its last collection for Spring 1998 and the company folded. Dayne and William went their separate ways and both men moved to South Florida, each pursuing other endeavors, including interior design, event planning (both separately), academia, business consulting and tech start-ups (Dayne).
“We have known each other forever from our party days in Atlanta in the ‘80s,” said Dayne DuVall. “We created a successful fashion company with no start-up funds and we were hugely successful.” William Peacock added, “We’ve stayed in touch over the years but the past few years we kept asking ourselves if we could do it again. We recently decided that we could, and we should!”
Dayne DuVall and William Peacock are re-launching Dayne DuVall Collections. The creative team will bring back original designs that many colectors are still wearing 30+ years later. The duo will reinterpret those classic pieces and create new collections. They will use their international travels as inspiration for a fine jewelry collection that will be handcrafted from sterling silver, 18 karat gold and gemstones.
Fine jewelry handcrafted from sterling silver, 18 and 24 karat gold and gemstones will be custom designed one-of-a-kind treasures
